Award-winning story on MSM from 18 Degrees North
Last week was National Journalism Week in Jamaica. It culminated in the Press Association of Jamaica’s awards on Friday, at which 18 Degrees North won an award for this story on MSM and HIV. The official name of the award is Sagicor Health Reporting, electronic media.
Producer Zahra Burton was “thrilled” and “in her element” as she told me. As she should be: this is 18 Degrees North’s first season. It is a remarkable accomplishment to be recognized in the first year. Congratulations Zahra! I am now working with Zahra on a piece for the next season, which will air in March. Stay tuned!
